The Texas forecast is cooler overall, but….

It is nice that a true polar air mass has arrived in Texas. In fact, there are two more scheduled to visit the Lone Star State between now and Halloween. But warmer values will make a comeback in between the cold frontal passages, so do not be surprised if 90 deg F temperatures appear next week.

The air masses that are dropping into the United States are “polar” and not “Arctic” there IS a difference, because when a cA regime hits, you will know it! In such cases, which typically never reach the Gulf Coast before Thanksgiving, readings may struggle to break the freezing mark even in broad daylight. We are a long way from seeing a Blue Norther, folks.
