HEAVY SNOW SQUALL THIS AFTERNOON

Forecast Discussion

Please be aware of BLACK ICE.  As temps plummet, any remaining moisture will freeze quickly making driving and walking challenging.

A weak high pressure will then keep the Tri-State area dry through at least Wednesday morning, but breezy conditions will develop with the approach of a cold front.

The front will bring a chance of a snow shower in the afternoon and into the evening as it passes through. Behind it, gusty NW winds last through the night.

Temperatures Wednesday and Wednesday night will be below normal, and wind chill values late Wednesday night will drop to within a few degrees of zero in most locations.  Thursday will be the coldest day of this season.
