Will it be a Halloween Washout??

Forecast Discussion

A prolonged period of onshore flow will result in increasing low level moisture across the region, resulting in some light rain and drizzle, mainly along the coast, but possibly as far west as the I-95 corridor on Wed afternoon.

Showers are likely, mainly Thursday morning as the warm front lifts to the north, but showers may linger over far northern zones into the afternoon as those areas will be in closer proximity to the front.

Showers taper off fairly quickly from west to east Friday morning as the front works its way through the region. It should be dry by midday with sunshine developing. A tight pressure gradient develops over the region as well, and strong west winds of 20-25 mph with 30-35 mph are possible during the day.

We will monitor potential for Wind Advisory level winds, but for now, winds look to be below criteria.

A Canadian high pressure builds in from the north and west for the weekend and start of the new week. Temperatures will be several degrees below normal, with highs generally in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
